We have a class or exercise session suitable for you, whatever your level of fitness, your pain, your posture or your age. All physiotherapists in the clinic work as personal trainers and conduct small group personalised training sessions either as a Physiotherapy Gym Session (PGS) or a class.

You will have fun while having an overall body workout. We encourage you to enrol for the month (we offer one and three month packages) so that you can see how quickly you progress and improve.

Yoga and Pilates with physiotherapy
Yoga stretches and Pilates exercise (with a physiotherapy influence); postural awareness exercises, trunk stability and strengthening exercises is incorporated in all our classes.

Our physiotherapists teach clinical pilates in our classes (www.dmaclinicalpilates.com). You have a choice of mat classes, pilates using the reformer or our PGS (Physiotherapy Gym Sessions ) These sessions utilize the reformer, the trapeze table as well as  mat work when required. We design a programme specifically for you for your PGS Session.

Screening session
You must have an individual screening session with a physiotherapist before you enrol in a series of classes so that we can show you the key areas you should be working on for your postural type, pain or level of fitness.

Individual Exercise/Pilates Sessions
Whether you are fit, unfit or still working on your pain or problem, you may prefer to work with a physiotherapist in an individual session. We recommend all clients to do this to be sure you are not 'taking the easy way out' in the classes!

Physiotherapy Gym Sessions (PGS)
These sessions may be right for you if you are not yet ready to join one of our classes. This progressive physiotherapy session permits you to go through your exercises under the supervision of a physiotherapist (60 min).  You will have your own Programme designed by your Physiotherapist to work through.

We also offer Posture Pilates, IyengaYoga, Pre and Post-Natal Yoga at our beach studio in Maroubra. You will find the Seabeyond classes (SBC) listed below in blue.

All physio classes combine yoga and pilates exercises, flexibility work and overall strengthening and stability work suitable for your level of fitness. It is essential you have an individual assessment by our Physiotherapists, this also permits you to claim off your Health Fund. 

Pilates reformers, trapeze table, exercise bands and gym balls are used in most of the classes so you will also have a lot of fun while you are getting fit and more flexible.

Note: you must enrol in all classes or PGS sessions, as 4-6 participants is our maximum number.

You must have no pain to attend the intermediate classes.

This year, 2010,  Francine St George has launched the

Physiotherapy Coaching Academy Australia

Bridging the gap between graduation and private practice”

 

 There are 2 strands in the

Academy....

 

Strand 1

Accelerated training for new graduates

·           4 workshops over 12 months

·         Run on  alternate months

·         2nd and 3rd Wednesday   9:30am - 5:30pm 

(May, July, September and November)

·        70 face to face training hours, practical and personalised tuition,  mentoring, coaching and email support offered between the workshops  giving you time to put your new learnt skills into practice in between workshops

 Strand 2

Advanced Practitioner Workshops

·         6 x 4 hour workshops over 6 months

·         Wednesdays 10:30am – 2:30 pm
